Very beautiful post, about a very important issue, freedom… But you know there are different types of freedom, generally speaking, but truly there is only one, individual freedom. Freedom is not metaphysical freedom, in the sense, lets say, that you have something in mind, but you cannot do it, learning for an exam, (in this case you are lacking the interior power to focus for achieving your goal). Freedom is not also the physical ‘ability to do what I want’, the power to satisfy our wishes, or the extent of the choice of alternatives open to us by the power of our body, force. On the other hand the individual liberty demands the absence of coercion by another individual upon you (freedom has a negative definition). So we are condemned to be free. Self-definition… I have always asked myself why a man loves himself more than anything in this world, but puts more importance on the opinions of others? But on the other hand, we cannot define ourselves, we must let this job in the hands of others. What we can do is to understand ourselves, “understand yourself and you will understand the universe”.

I would do everything that isn’t allowed according to human standards not by laws.

I think you are suggesting that we can create ourselves in whatever we like. To realize that we have the potential to screen from all our experiences that which is of importance and forecast for the future what we want to happen is indeed great, but also it comes with a very serious consequence. When we realize this, there is no excuse for the choices we make in life, we cannot complain about the choices we make. But this is worth it because from that moment on we not just react to whatever the environment throws at you, but we are the ones that change the environment (including the people)! We are free to define ourselves, but what we need to remember is that with great power, comes great responsibility.
